The Subject
In Christian art the eagle belongs to Saint John the Evangelist, whose Gospel rises highest towards heaven. It is also an emblem of strength renewed: “they shall mount up with wings as eagles.” This is a statement piece, made for a hall or a study.

The Making
The bird takes its markings from the tree: dark streaks of grain run through the wings and the paler wood lights the breast. Thousands of individual feather cuts cover the body, and the crag beneath is left rough to contrast with the finished plumage.
Chosen by the house from the workshops of the forty Bethlehem families it works with, and sent to you from Old Caritas Street.
Every order leaves Bethlehem within 48 hours, sent by EMS Express Mail Service. Your tracking number is emailed to you the day the parcel is handed over.
Because each piece is packed and sent by hand from the Holy Land, we do not accept returns or exchanges once an order has shipped. If anything arrives broken, email a photograph to info@saint-michael-store.com and we will send a replacement.
