The Subject
Abraham welcomed three strangers under the oak of Mamre, and the Church has long seen in them the Father, the Son and the Spirit. They sit around a single table with a single cup, their heads inclined towards one another in perfect accord. The Greek title reads Η ΑΓΙΑ ΤΡΙΑΣ.

The Making
The angels' robes are painted in rose, blue and green against a gold ground. The panel carries the iconographer's signature at the lower edge, “χειρ Ε. Ελευθεριάδη”, which means “by the hand of E. Eleftheriadis”.
